In today's episode we are joined by fantasy author JW Webb, chatting about his books set in the world of Anzu. Jim grew up close to London but it wasn't until he moved out to Cornwall when his first book came to life. He believes there is a great sense of the Celtic vibe living in that area of the UK. It was during this time he also reached out to an illustrator who, at the time, had worked with J.R.R. Tolkien as an illustrator. Unfortunately, tragedy hit JW's life when his wife passed away. In a wonderful turn of events, he reconnected with someone he had met in his youth while sailing around Australia. That new relationship led him to relocating to the United States in 2012. He is now putting the finishing touches on his 12th book in the ever-growing list of books set in the world of Anzu.

Movies/Streaming:
Walt is working his way through Futurama and began watching Lower Decks, the animated series set in the Star Trek universe. JW recommended Picard, Ozark, Yellowstone, Longmire, and The Bodyguard. Alan is wrapping up season 4 of The Next Generation and season 4 of Bosch. Alan also highly recommends the Netflix film, Extraction, starring Chris Hemsworth.

Reading:
Walt is still working his way through, "Praying for Sheetrock," and just finished reading, "Waiting for the Punch." JW just finished reading, "The Real History of the SAS." Alan recommends, "The Making of Tombstone," for anyone who considers themselves a fan of the movie.

Listening to/Podcasts:
Walt grabs his fresh supply of gummies and has been listening to The Grateful Dead from 1972. He also has a couple podcasts he really recommends; Holy Crap It's Sports with Pete Davis and Comedy, Bang, Bang. JW listens to the podcast Self Publishing 101 along with a lot of Kate Bush and Souxsie and the Banshees. Alan tried out Literally! The Rob Lowe podcast and has enjoyed the guests. He also recommended The Worst of the Best with Ryan Rebalkin, a show that looks at a "great" album or movie or whatever and then the hosts have to decided what is the worst part, moment or song. Alan also loves the podcast 60 Minutes With now rebranded as 60MW. He reminds the audience to watch for the next Soundcheck Metallica show he is going to be on with host Chris Jellyman. Their next episode with focus on the album, "Ride the Lightning." He also gave a shout out to The Real Queens of Queens podcast and The Bad Cop, Bad Cop Show.
